Saddle Time

Meet Dually! He is Almost There Farm's newcomer, a 3 year old Peppy-bred quarter horse. He's been ridden a few times last year, and ponied around some, and I get to play with him! Yesterday I saddled him up and moved him around a little bit, worked him through some "tight spots" where he was a little humpy, and we ended with me sitting on him, and doing some line work.

Today, I moved him out for a few minutes to check out his movement and make sure there were no tight spots, then got on and got him moving a little bit in both directions., Got off and put on the snaffle bit, got back on and worked on moving his hindquarters and front quarters. He did great, and I got pictures!

"I'm number one!"

Toby and I rode to one of my favorite places- an old family graveyard on the edge of an apple orchard. So peaceful and beautiful.

"This truth now certain, when life is o'er, Man dies to live and lives to die no more."

This beauty was in the field when I was leaving!
